The alpha version was tested in three schools in a wide array of designs; from a Scanning Electron Microscope sampler, a robotic worm, and an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. With the flexibility to program the board in four languages (The 12 Blocks GUI, SPIN, C+, or Assembly), you don't have to decide between ease of coding and efficiency. You can have both!
The E Series is the first of a three part series of multifunctional project development boards that will allow for quicker and thus cheaper prototyping. Our proprietary software will control all the open source hardware, creating a high level hardware API. The large and open source object exchange of the Propeller chip also allows for the easy addition of software functions.
NASA used a Sol-X product to prototype a Lunar Wormbot. The green PCB in the video is the Gravity Development Board.

Series Nomenclature
►E Series - For Earth based applications where size & ease of programming matter. ► M Series - For Mars/Planetary based applications where our shielding methodology and triple modular redundancy will protect the electronics. ► S Series - For free space based applications where RAD hard components are a must. Based off the Xilinx Virtex-5Q FPGA allowing reconfigurable hardware, which serves as its own back-up. |
Key Features
► The Gravity Development Board will be the first space tolerate open hardware electronic prototyping board, enabling any type of person to create real life space hardware. ► Uses dense double sided Surface Mount Technology, with hardware that includes; Two Full H-Bridges, 18 GPIO, Eight channel 12-bit ADC conversion, Multiplexer, and USB & wireless communication. ► Great driver for Firgelli L16 -P linear actuator. |
